About me

I'm Déborah (pronounced: DAY-bore-rah), a 25 year old Dutch/Belgian girl. I was born in the Netherlands, but have since 2008 re-located to the north-eastern part of Belgium, where I live on the outskirts of a small town with my cats and pet rats. I spend most of my time on the internet, dabbling in web design, listening to music, maintaining fanlistings, watching movies, (online) shopping, thrifting, spending time with my pets, gaming, taking photographs, reading, and obsessing over my favourite fandoms, which includes - but is not limited to - Harry Potter, Star Wars, the world of J.R.R. Tolkien and Buffy-verse. I'm also a big fan of Bruce Springsteen and drool over Ralph Fiennes. If you would like to get to know me better, feel free to visit my blog.

I first came across a fanlisting in 2002, by randomly clicking links, and after reading the about page I was left intrigued by its idea. Through this fanlisting, I stumbled on The Fanlistings Network (which back then, was still thefanlistings.net, I believe) and started to join fanlistings of my interest pretty much right away. In 2004, I finally started to build my very own first fanlisting but it wasn't until I joined the TFL boards in 2005 that I became really addicted to them. At the moment I'm not really active at the boards itself, due to personal things, but I don't think I will ever leave the network completely. The reason why I love building fanlistings is because, not only can I show my love/support for a certain person or thing, I'm also improving my coding skills each time I build a fanlisting. Due to fanlistings, I have also become better at making graphics and such and thanks to its community, I have made some awesome new friends. :)

As of October 2008, I was made a Trouble Checker over at The Fanlistings Network for the Food/Drinks category. A few months later, I also became a Trouble Checker for the Albums category and in late September 2009, I started TCing for the Animals category, as well. In March 2010, I left the Albums category due to time restrainments in my off-line life. I'm also no longer TCing for the Food/Drinks category any more. Even so, if I have some spare time left, I will always offer to help out Trouble Checking for any TFL categories, if or when needed.
